949 Days Since We Said "I Do", 12 Years Together...

Oh, my gosh, you guys. No joke. It has almost been a year since I last updated. I mean... we spent FIVE WEEKS in Italy and there is not one mention of it on here! That is crazy.

We have a few video updates I can post that will take you to about half of our trip... You know, since we started a new YouTube show: 50 Most Romantic

This is just an introduction of what you will see on our Trip in Italy. And when I say our trip to Italy, I mean almost every corner, from the top of the boot, to the tip all the way to exploring Sicily!

Our very first Episode when we land in Fiumicino and our adventure to the Amalfi Coast!

Our second episode focuses on our time in Sorrento and exploring the Amalfi coast

Our third episode is when we finally make it to one of The Most Romantic restaurants in the WORLD: Rada

Our second to last is when we make it to the gorgeous island of Capri...

Our final episode so far from our trip to Italy... when we finally make it to Villa AMA!

This is barely HALF of our adventures in Sicily... but hubby promised me he would start the next episodes next month. We have three done already, but we would like to have all of Italy done before we post...

When we returned, hubby took me to see Hamilton as my birthday gift! I died of joy!

We picked apples and pumpkins, carved pumpkins and made apple pies. We watched thousands of fairy lights as we all released our paper lights into a sky with thousands of others... Our fall was absolutely magical...

Ready to go Apple Picking!

Pumpkin picking at its best!

Italian Festival!

Getting cozy with the puppy

And a surprise gift to Shawn for his birthday... I tried not to die as we floated above the planet in an incredible Hot Air Balloon ride!

We now have TWO MORE trips we will be posting this year for 2018! We're so excited to share our adventures with you!

This is when I died.

...omg

This is literally us... floating in the air... above earth.

For our Twelve Years together, I surprised Shawn with a trip to Puerto Rico! We leave this Saturday, March 24th, 2018! I'm super nervous and super excited.

Yes. I made this card. Yes, it's a scratch off card. Yes. Expect many more! ;)

I am nervous because we have NEVER been to Puerto Rico... and we're going only a few months after Hurricane Maria devastated the islands... It was a challenge finding a place with power since I wanted to stay right off the main island on Vieques. We have so many amazing things planned for our trip... mostly being beach time. But I DO have an incredible PRIVATE experience booked that I am SO EXCITED to share with Shawn. It is on my bucket-list and I cannot WAIT to do it!

SUPER SUNNY CLUE-GIVING FRECKLES!

For our dateaversary date we went to have sushi at our favorite restaurant: Masa!

Sushi is best.

The other reason for the escape is... This has been our life since December:

Oh, party giraffe. Why are we here?!

And... while we make it look good....

OH SNOOOOOW

My hair just can't take it anymore!

Snowed on and snowed in.

But how cute is our little snowbunny puppy?

Slow-mo po'

Our other trip that we have booked is going back to some of my roots on my father's side... no, not Lebanon, but Ireland! And how perfect to share the news the day after Saint Patrick's day!

The reveal for this trip is super cute that I'll save for our Ireland episode!

We're leaving the last two weeks of August (we leave on our 3 Year Wedding Anniversary) and exploring as much as we can including where my grandmother's father grew up near Cork! We cannot WAIT! Also, by then, we will probably have our Irish passports and our EU Citizenship!

So many amazing things to look forward to!

I'll end with a simple Irish prayer for all of you...

"Love, life and happiness; may your troubles be few and your blessings plenty"

Love,
Mrs. Caple

How to Book Your Wedding in One Week (hint: >.<)

As you know I left Saturday, November 1st to come here to Hawai'i to meet, greet + eat everything the Hawai'ian vendors have to offer here on O'ahu.

A few things I have learned, so far:

Without guidance this process has been intimidating, mind-boggling, + exciting... + not necessarily in a good way.

The aisle I walk down has pretty much been confirmed. It's gorgeous.

The venue has been flip-flopping since we got here, so that's been interesting.

The flowers, photography (plenty of options from home + plenty of talent here on the island), (cinematography is done, no brainer), caterers, rental company, space designer, invitations, centerpieces, lighting, tents vs canopy, booze, DJ/Music, entertainment... we're still working on that. All of it. Except cake. We have cake. Cake was easy (AND FREAKING AMAZING). Thank god. If nothing else, WE HAVE CAKE! (I know my priorities)

Tomorrow... actually today... (I've been up since 3:30am -  it is now 5am) we don't have any appointments... however, we do plan on checking out a venue right next door to our original venue just to check it out. Our vendors are totally torn on both. Chef likes Paradise Cove because of the kitchen, DJ likes Lanikuhonoa because of all the outlets... they are literally right next door to each other, so it's going to be interesting making that decision.

Paradise Cove Chapel

We're feeling the crunch, so it makes me nervous to not have any appointments today, but maybe we can finalize our venue, sign the chapel contract, + get our Save the Dates printed that Shawn designed. Originally post cards... but Mom wants to put them in envelopes... even though the beauty of a postcard is that you put a stamp on it and shove it in the mail... plus it goes with the whole travel theme. Her thought is people throw away postcards... I alway save mine, Save the Date or otherwise... I'm not sure she sees the vision yet...

ANYWAY, Pictures of what we're considering so far!
