949 Days Since We Said "I Do", 12 Years Together...

Oh, my gosh, you guys. No joke. It has almost been a year since I last updated. I mean... we spent FIVE WEEKS in Italy and there is not one mention of it on here! That is crazy.

We have a few video updates I can post that will take you to about half of our trip... You know, since we started a new YouTube show: 50 Most Romantic

This is just an introduction of what you will see on our Trip in Italy. And when I say our trip to Italy, I mean almost every corner, from the top of the boot, to the tip all the way to exploring Sicily!

Our very first Episode when we land in Fiumicino and our adventure to the Amalfi Coast!

Our second episode focuses on our time in Sorrento and exploring the Amalfi coast

Our third episode is when we finally make it to one of The Most Romantic restaurants in the WORLD: Rada

Our second to last is when we make it to the gorgeous island of Capri...

Our final episode so far from our trip to Italy... when we finally make it to Villa AMA!

This is barely HALF of our adventures in Sicily... but hubby promised me he would start the next episodes next month. We have three done already, but we would like to have all of Italy done before we post...

When we returned, hubby took me to see Hamilton as my birthday gift! I died of joy!

We picked apples and pumpkins, carved pumpkins and made apple pies. We watched thousands of fairy lights as we all released our paper lights into a sky with thousands of others... Our fall was absolutely magical...

Ready to go Apple Picking!

Pumpkin picking at its best!

Italian Festival!

Getting cozy with the puppy

And a surprise gift to Shawn for his birthday... I tried not to die as we floated above the planet in an incredible Hot Air Balloon ride!

We now have TWO MORE trips we will be posting this year for 2018! We're so excited to share our adventures with you!

This is when I died.

...omg

This is literally us... floating in the air... above earth.

For our Twelve Years together, I surprised Shawn with a trip to Puerto Rico! We leave this Saturday, March 24th, 2018! I'm super nervous and super excited.

Yes. I made this card. Yes, it's a scratch off card. Yes. Expect many more! ;)

I am nervous because we have NEVER been to Puerto Rico... and we're going only a few months after Hurricane Maria devastated the islands... It was a challenge finding a place with power since I wanted to stay right off the main island on Vieques. We have so many amazing things planned for our trip... mostly being beach time. But I DO have an incredible PRIVATE experience booked that I am SO EXCITED to share with Shawn. It is on my bucket-list and I cannot WAIT to do it!

SUPER SUNNY CLUE-GIVING FRECKLES!

For our dateaversary date we went to have sushi at our favorite restaurant: Masa!

Sushi is best.

The other reason for the escape is... This has been our life since December:

Oh, party giraffe. Why are we here?!

And... while we make it look good....

OH SNOOOOOW

My hair just can't take it anymore!

Snowed on and snowed in.

But how cute is our little snowbunny puppy?

Slow-mo po'

Our other trip that we have booked is going back to some of my roots on my father's side... no, not Lebanon, but Ireland! And how perfect to share the news the day after Saint Patrick's day!

The reveal for this trip is super cute that I'll save for our Ireland episode!

We're leaving the last two weeks of August (we leave on our 3 Year Wedding Anniversary) and exploring as much as we can including where my grandmother's father grew up near Cork! We cannot WAIT! Also, by then, we will probably have our Irish passports and our EU Citizenship!

So many amazing things to look forward to!

I'll end with a simple Irish prayer for all of you...

"Love, life and happiness; may your troubles be few and your blessings plenty"

Love,
Mrs. Caple

580 Days Since We Said 'I Do'... 11 Years (and 1 Day) Since We Said Yes to Each Other

Since our last update... once again, many things have happened!

Here is Suki's new super cute pink sweater!

Our beautiful logs and gas inserts are in for starters... ready for this glory?

...   Whoosh!

We also finally officially finished our Laundry Room with these sweet new Washer + Dryer! They're so quiet! They hold so many things! And they're Mr. Caple's favorite color!

Meanwhile... we ALSO knew we needed to do something about our closet... it was just unusable the way it was... and now... I have the best little updates... Like this:

We're still working on making it a little more glam, so a final reveal will come when it's in all it's glory!

Of course, we also celebrated Valentine's Day... the best way possible: YUMMY ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI!

Even Suki celebrated!

Then the husband took us (The Family) to his glamorous Gala event, where The Momma + I danced the night away!

The Momma + I also decided to learn how to make Floral Crowns! Even Sukie got in on the action!

After having bought our tickets to Italy for this summer with the hubby, I decided it was time to get serious about my health + diet... So I finished up my beautiful last Blue Apron:

Lost 2lbs in the first week, before I had my epic cheat day!

Then lost ANOTHER 3lbs this week, for a total of FIVE POUNDS, so far, in Two Weeks!

In Sweet Start News, we have a few projects going on for two new shows, and we have even more adorable Sweet Start Characters for special occasions:

On Tuesday we got snowed in... Suki was not excited...

I decided, besides laundry in our new washer + dryer, I would break out our crockpot for the first time ever...

And make some EPIC CHILI. It was DELICIOUS!

Then Suki + I cuddled in front of the fire while we wait for our pie...

Because it's PI DAY! I didn't eat any because it's not my cheat day yet, but Shawn LOVED it!

This week also happens to be the week of our 11 Years of Dating... March 16, 2006... the Day I knew I Found The One... and The One Found Me...

Of course, this past week was also our 11 Year Anniversary!!! ELEVEN YEARS!

Last Year, my Mr. Caple took me on an extravagant adventure of Dinner + Dancing... but this year, since we're going to Italy for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary + my Dirty Thirty Birthday ... we decided to keep it simple... kisses, cuddles, popcorn, and a movie. And I wouldn't have it any other way. It was absolutely perfect.

Soulmates

Little Caple Clan...

Movie Night! <3

The truth is my little family, my simple life makes me so happy... so beautiful. Of course we have plans for more exciting things to come... our life is amazing, and we have aspirations to make it even more epic. Life is too short to stay comfortable...

Love,
Mrs. Caple

500 Days Since We Said 'I Do'

Merry Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza/Festivus...,  and Happy New Year!

💋💋Kisses💋 make everything better

Last I left you we were getting ready to celebrate Halloween, and Autumn and everything Thanksgiving!

Even this has been updated from the state that this is in. Wait until you see our new fireplace!

Since then we've stopped living in a construction maze, finished up all renovations, had a Thanksgiving feast, a Christmas feast, and hosted our very first cocktail party as a married couple in our very first (new to us) home! It has definitely been an epic journey getting here, and worth every second of torture to be this blissfully happy at the end of it.

Putting this chandelier together... and the end result... ahh

This has now been moved to fit over our table! YAY!

Moved our light in the perfect spot!

Suki has been styling as the weather has been getting chilly...

Swag pupper

And now on to the most beautiful Thanksgiving Feast!

Please try to contain your excitement (even though we can't!)!

Mom's gorgeous Table-scape:

Poppin' a bit o' Bubbly for the Special occasion...

Ooohhh, getting that turkey ready!

I think Dad was mastering his mannequin technique

Oh, baby!

All the potato glory

Do we know how to party or WHAT?!

As is per tradition, we all went out the next day to sit on Santa's lap and get our Christmas tree for this magical season!

Santa, baby...

Santa's on the naughty list

He had it commin'

We're not bad... we're just drawn that way...

So then we had to hunt for our perfect Christmas tree...!

So many choices!

Oh, this is the one...

Lock her in, Caple!

I am one with nature and this tree...

He was a little crooked....

So Caple fixed him right up!

Then we went over to help The Momma decorate her tree!

I cannot stop laughing at this...

Magical moments!

That weekend we also celebrated an epic 30th Birthday for our wonderful friend!

Wishing Catie the happiest year ever!

Shawn then surprised me with this little upgrade to our gorgeous kitchen!

Afterwards it was Cookie Making Time! CHRISTMAS COOKIES FOR EVERYONE!

Then the best thing ever happened: WE GOT OUT COUNTERTOPS! AFTER 3 MONTHS OF NOT USING OUR KITCHEN WE FINALLY HAVE THE FINAL PEICE TO USE THEM! YAY!!!! LOOK HOW GORGEOUS THEY ARE!

From there we went to full on Power-mode and in between decorating for Christmas, we finished our last few projects... and Shawn created the face of our (now) GORGEOUS FIREPLACE!

And FINALLY, our Fireplace REVEAL!

And since the fireplace face was completed... it was time to go and take care of EVERYTHING else.

So I went from room to room, putting away every thing that needed a home. Every tool, every holiday decor, EVERYTHING... until I was finally back in the living room/foyer.

We were having our very first cocktail party ever and I had finally made it to the front to start cleaning that area... The parents came over and gave of great big tables for food and drinks for our huge holiday bash! The time had come for our big reveal...

And then it was Christmas Morning...

And, really, while the fireplace is my first ultimate favorite Christmas gift... Shawn surprised me with this beautiful gift...

MORE STORAGE! YAAAAAASSSSSS

We opened a few little things... Suki got her Elk antler Christmas Gift, and we headed over for Christmas with my parents...

Another epic feast awaited our arrival after we all opened gifts to each other!

The night before we powered through the last few things that needed to be done for our cocktail party only in a few short hours!

From this...

To THIS

The drinks were chilled, the antlers placed neatly on our little reindeer sliders, and it was time to party our very first party and open our newly renovated home for everyone to see for the first time completely done!

The party was a HIT!

And we finally got to put our selfie-stick to great use!

Best Christmas EVER

It was, quite literally, the best Christmas we ever had.

This was our very first Christmas in our new home, our very own (very FIRST) party hosted in our new home, and everyone coming together in our new home.

It was, literally, the best Christmas I've ever had. My heart is so full of love and joy. Thank you to all who shared this epic day with us.

And... because I wasn't ready for Christmas to be over, we all decided it was time to finally see the Shadybrook Farm Christmas Light Show. EPICNESS ALL AROUND.

And because renovating is never over... it was time to get new fireplace panels...

Last piece of this puzzle are our logs (gas insert was just stalled)! That will happen in the new year (next week) and all will be epically complete and life will be even more amazing and beautiful than it already is.

Truly, I keep saying it, but I mean every word: I am so happy. 4 months ago it never felt like we would get here. We would no longer live in a maze of construction, I would walk in and see crap everywhere (be it gross rotting cabinetry, or drop cloth filled with a thousand different kinds of tools, or boxes and boxes, both empty and full of ... everything.

And now... here we are. Done.

Also, now... I want to have all the parties!

AH! My heart is so full and I am so happy!

Next on the list: New TV, and, eventually, doors. TV first.

Thank you all for the most epic Christmas I ever had. Thank you!

Love,
Mrs. Caple

1 Year and 95 Days Since 'I Do'...

Our last update was when we bought our own little home...

We are in November and we are getting ready for all the amazing holidays in our new home and ready to celebrate accordingly!

Unfortunately, we have to live through the torture of a construction zone first... So far we've missed enjoying Shawn's favorite month, October... November we won't have counters... but here are a few befores... and afters:

Floor is in... but construction is EVERYWHERE >.<

Horrific rotting old kitchen...

Editing suite after we ripped out the carpet!

Master suite and hallway after we ripped out the carpet...

First thing we did before we stepped foot into our new home was tear up all the carpet and replace it with pretty new flooring.

Gorgeous floors are in! Before construction and moving our stuff in...

Mom was incredible... as she did pretty much EVERYTHING. Seriously the best mom EVER.

We then got started on our bathrooms. Definitely a group effort, but let's be honest, most of the demo was still thanks to Mom. Although, I must admit, Caple has some serious skill with the tile drill (thank goodness)!

Here are both  bathrooms before and during the demo...

Inside the master bathroom looking into the guest bathroom and into the master suite. TO THE STUDS.

And our amazing bathrooms AFTER... *SWOON*

White dreamy Master bath...

White dreamy Master bath...

Master bath gorgeous accessories... White dreamy Master bath...

Our Guest Bath Completed.... so gorgeous...!

Just got a GORGEOUS tufted white curtain for the bathroom...

I also begged my brother, D.J. for his help while Shawn has been busy every day (including most weekends) until midnight.

He helped me with the magic of floor to ceiling curtains... I would post pictures of them... but they are currently surrounded by... construction... still.

And how AMAZING does my laundry room look?! Thank you, D.J., for helping me put up these gorgeous cabinets. Thank you husband for helping me find them and get the perfect filler piece (even if it took 3, literally THREE, hours to get).

I even made the gross frame that goes around our spikets that bring water to the washer and dryer glamorous...

During this time Mom + Dad returned from Italy and my middle brother, D.J., and Mom totally demo'd our kitchen... Needless to say we've been without a kitchen for a while... Until Thursday!

Monstrous before...

After demo... and I started painting...

I painted in the kitchen, so at least the walls feel nice and clean and ready for a gorgeous kitchen.

Of course... we still need our granite...

Which we've already picked out this past weekend. So... the anticipation is KILLING us.

This season has been gorgeous so far, but we sadly didn't even get dressed up for Halloween or do anything because the husband has been working so hard during this insane political season!

We did manage to have fun with a few friends and celebrate Shawn's birthday a few times!

Thank you to Frank + Susan for such a blast!

Thank you to my brothers and Sam for surprising Shawn and joining us for our haunted adventure!

Wednesday we celebrated our girlfriend of the family (nobody is just their bf, gf, hubby or wife to themselves in this family. They are absorbed into the whole family. That's just how it works in this family), Sam's birthday. A little bubbly and some amazing Painting Moments...

SAM CAN'T STOP

Talent, in order: Sam, Victor, Shawn, Alex (me - I made mine look like Suki, I'm not color blind...), and my MOH and gorgeous cousin, Alexis

We are so talented!

We lit her cake on fire... then we set the fire detectors off with all the smoke. hahaha!

Happiest of birthdays, Sam!

We're sorry we cannot join you Saturday as we're filming an incredible wedding...!

Kristen + Tom's incredible wedding!

That's our update so far... The next one will probably have a lot more Christmas lights...

Love,
Mrs. Caple

15 Days After Our First Anniversary (380 Days Since 'I Do')

I am currently 1 day away from when I return to school to teach and do one of my favorite jobs... Next week the kids will all be returned to school and my long hot summer days of beaches, cuddles, and stargazing until 2 am will be over until June 2017...

Who am I kidding? No more ice cream runs with awesome friends after 10 at night, no more Pokemon Go hunting until midnight...and then boardgames until 2 am... yeah. That happened and it was amazing.

Had an amazing lunch day with my girl, Whitaker... made the most awesome empanadas.

Actually... made a lot of amazing meals shared with those I love...

We've since had a few Target dates...

And went to the awesome Sculpture Gardens as the hot summer days turned to hot summer nights...

Of course KILLED it at the gym... and multitasked like my old man taught me

And spent a few magical days with a few magical soon-to-be Sweet Start brides...

My last update was in the middle of my trip to Sicily with my family, and I have since returned and finally was able to get the husband, Shawn, to go on a One Year Anniversary/Birthday trip with me to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

It was there that I surprised the hubby on our First Wedding Anniversary (which is the paper anniversary) with a surprise photoshoot for us to capture our amazing day in Charleston to celebrate!

Seriously LOVED being reunited with our amazing Wedding Photographer, Brandi of Alexis June Weddings... She is such an incredible friend and photographer. We are so blessed to have her capture these moments and to be a part of them...

We even had Suki with us!

Brandi put on our First Dance song while she shot these moments... it was amazing...

Here are my favorite shots she captured...

Watch out for the couple of BA's around town! Haha!

When we said our farewells, Shawn still wanted to do our own little photoshoot I had tricked him into from the start with our own cameras... and spent the day in gorgeous Charleston...

Realizing he didn't get me a paper gift for our anniversary he bought me this rose from a vendor on the street...

This is when Suki got her first ice cream... and Shawn and i shared some magical ice cream!

and we enjoyed the gorgeous sites around town...

We returned to North Myrtle Beach and enjoyed the views...

And then of course we had to celebrate my birthday...

The hubby surprised me with the extravagant little blue box...

It was seriously one of my best and favorite birthdays I've ever had...

The best part is when FINALLY the rest of the family joined us... It was a blast!

But now we are back in New Jersey... preparing for big things to come...

Stay tuned later this week for big BIG news!

318 Days Since 'I Do'

Here's a beautiful update since our time during Spring Break...

We found an awesome home for the gorgeous ostrich egg Shawn got me from our trip in Texas... I love it!

Most of the weddings we filmed in May and June...

Most of our gorgeous weddings that came out in May and June:

Suki baby graduated from her training class! YAY!

I got rehired and am returning back to my amazing school!

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!

AND the very next day, as most of you know, I've been here in Italy with most of my family, but missing two important men, my middle brother, D.J. and my husband Shawn...

It has been a huge challenge enjoying all these incredible days in the Sicilian sun without the people I really love....

If it weren't for the amazing young lady and her wonderful family I had the pleasure of befriending, I'd say the whole traveling part was absolutely torture...

Starting with leaving my amazing husband on the curbside at the airport...

THEE bumpiest take off...

27 hours of no sleep...

Ryan air taking my carry-on to through it into the belly of the plane and literally making me the last person to board the plane...

But none of that mattered when I FINALLY arrived in Sicily...

Welcome to...

Villa AMA!

And I finally got to take my first 2016 Sicily Selfie with the Momma

As my family keeps saying, I'm cream and she's chocolate... >.<

The INCREDIBLE dinner Mom + Dad took me out to... where they apparently all know them.... surprise, surprise....

To all the incredible breakfast choices... (and my obvious obsession with Nutella)...

To our adventure in Siracusa and all my killer selfies...

And all the things we've made here so far... panne (bread), arancina (MY FAV), gelato... and OF COURSE... PIZZA! And below all the steps on how to make the Pizza:

CIAO, MI AMO!

260 Days since 'I Do'...

Every day married to my husband has been a gift.

Last month we spent Spring Break in beautiful Galveston, Texas...

We had a blast exploring and enjoying the simple adventures and pleasures of the small beach town.

Unfortunately everything closed around 6:30 on weekdays... but that just made for awesome dinners...

Like... Ice cream for dinner... A few nights in a row. Worth it.

We had an amazing time in Texas and cannot wait for our next adventure!

When we returned, puppy Suki would not leave our side... poor baby.

She tied me up and wouldn't let me go anywhere.

And then she figured out how door handles work.

She's dangerous.

This past April the hubby and I met up with a gorgeous couple in Princeton and spent the rest of the afternoon there. It was awesome!

We love just walking around and spending time together there... especially when there's ice cream involved... and there should always be ice cream involved...

There are only 35 School days let, and 52 full days including weekends until I leave for Italy (I leave the day after school ends on June 21st, 2016.

I am SO excited! I am working on a pet project of telling a story through film while I am in Italy. It should be pretty incredible.

Sweet Start has a wedding every weekend this month! Can you believe it is already May?!

One weekend we actually have TWO weddings! It is definitely going to be intense...

The hubby and I got a groupon for a massage, and I was thinking we should use it the morning I leave for Italy so that by the time I get on the plane I am totally 100% relaxed... especially as I will be traveling all alone to Italy and meeting up with my parents in Sicily! It will definitely be an adventure... and I'm definitely already nervous about doing it alone. Of course I can handle it... but it's nice to share every experience with someone you want to share everything with. Cue Vlog.

Last Sunday I got to spend it with my gorgeous girl friends, Cassie + Mackenzie in the old Big Apple! It was so great catching up and spending time with these amazing girls. I really am so blessed to have such amazing ladies in my life...

The train trip there was the train trip that made all the other trains late... so sitting around and waiting was the highlight of that ride.

But we had to say our goodbyes in our most classic way possible... As usual.

This past weekend was an absolute blast!

Thursday was The Momma's birthday, Friday was the baby brother's birthday, and Sunday was our Sister-in-law's birthday!

Celebrating started on Thursday, and on Friday, Aunt Jo, Alexis, + Uncle Scott all came up for the baby brother's 19th birthday and we all went to an Amazing Escape the Room Adventure.

It was an absolute blast! We made it out with only seconds to spare! Literally we had 51 seconds left! It was awesome!

On Saturday, my middle brother, D.J. picked up the most angelic sweetest little chicks ever! I cuddled with a few - I just couldn't get enough of them!

Look how sweet they are!

On Sunday the hubby and I drove down to Vorhees for a fantastic Brazilian Steakhouse restaurant where they basically feed you meat off of swords. But really, I go for the cheesy bread. It's the best!

Lauren celebrated surrounded by friends and family, amazing food, and love all around.

I was so excited for the gifts we got Lauren, I couldn't wait to see her face! Unfortunately one of them is going to be given later because it was processed late and there was a website error... so that kind of stinks...  but I'll be picking it up tonight and I'm sure turned out amazing!

The best of my 2016 year, however is that I have been rehired and I have accepted a position to return back to my amazing job as a teacher at an incredible school that I am absolutely in love with being a part of. Below is the moment captured by my awesome girl friend, Natasha, who I never would have met if I had not been hired at this amazing school.

PURE JOY!

In Suki news... she got a new toy... looking at it now it may have been a weird choice to get her a wiener dog chew toy... but she loves it! Hmm... hahaha!

Anyway, it is now May 2nd, and we have so many exciting things happening!

215 Days Since 'I Do'... 10 Years and 1 Day Since we started Dating

Yesterday marked the day of our 10 years together.

I was 18 years old... he was 21. He knew it then, I know it now: We are meant to be together for eternity.

Husband... you are the most amazing person and I am truly blessed to have you not only in my life, but by my side, supporting me in every way that you can. You are amazing.

We have done so much... and I cannot wait to do so much more. I love you, husband.

To celebrate our 10 Years together, on this momentous occasion, Shawn took me to the one place I have been begging to go since I knew about it. However, I wasn't begging Shawn... I begged my father thinking he would take me one day... He never did (but who knows, he may in the future!)... You know who took me to the one place I had been begging to go?

Shawn took me to The Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Plaza at the Top of the Rock.

THE RAINBOW ROOM

SHAWN. TOOK. ME. TO. THE. RAINBOW. ROOM.

IMG_4162.JPG

WE WENT TO THE RAINBOW ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A night of lavish dinner and dancing holding each other close, swaying gently to the beat of the live band behind us, and we kissed and danced on the moving dance floor.

Extravagant does not even begin to do justice to the incredible gift and evening.

Shawn gave me an adventure I had been begging for years!

IMG_4171.JPG

It was everything I wanted and so much more... My husband is so amazing...

We've gone a few other adventures, done some fun things with our baby puppy, Suki...

He took me and the family to this incredible Gala event where he filmed and edited the main films that honored the families at the gala. Such a proud moment. He is truly so amazing...

More than anything I am so blessed to have this man by my side.

Next week, on Friday, the hubby is taken us to Texas for Spring Break to enjoy some time of relaxation and find our zen before the chaos of the last 3 months of school kick in.

He says he has an awesome surprise... horses... beach... I'M SO EXCITED.

Anyway, that's the quick update of our TEN YEARS TOGETHER... 6 months married...

How did we get so lucky?

167 Days Since 'I Do'

Today... oh, my gosh, yesterday!

So many awesome things have occurred since our last post on Christmas  Eve!

Happy New Year to everyone! We hope your New Year is full of success and great wealth in love and happiness!

So far this year has been pretty incredible.

Shawn hung some gorgeous canvas's I had made using Brandi's incredible photos from our wedding... oh my gosh... heaven.

And the new comforter The Momma got us for Christmas... absolute perfection... I'm in love with our room!

IMG_1694.JPG

Our little Sweet Start mobile is back in beautiful condition sparkly and new...!

And for Christmas, the hubby got me this PERFECT Teapot!

Today is the last Friday of the First Month of the Year! February is next week! Valentine's Day, and probably more winter and snow...

Last week was the Great Jonas Blizzard of 2016... but February is when we usually get our Snow Days!

Spent the whole weekend actually editing... *note the look of madness

All last weekend we had snow days and cuddles... lots of cooking and cleaning...(and editing... mostly editing) and last Friday is when we met Suki.

Then we were snowed in and Shawn was stuck daydreaming and shuffling his feet about this puppy that he fell madly in love with.

Who is Suki, you ask? Well, first you should know that Sushi, our Beta fish is not the jealous type, so don't worry about him. Second, Suki is Japanese for Beloved.

Suki... is the puppy we picked up last night!

Please welcome the newest edition to our little family, Suki the sweetest Shiba Inu you'll every encounter!

We're in love and so excited to announce our newest little addition to our Caple Clan!

Meet Suki Caple!

130 Days Since 'I Do'

T'was the Day before Christmas, and all through the walls
Our upstair neighbors were thumping up and down the halls
I turned to my husband and snuggled him close,
"It's Christmas Eve," he said. "That, I think everyone knows."
I teased crinkling my nose. So much to do! So much to say!
Some things we need to get before Christmas day...
So off to the craziest place of them all...
With Santa, hot cocoa, all of course at the mall!
We donned on our coats... and they were quickly removed.
Despite the rain, and the grey skies, the heat once again proved
This Christmas was different from all of the rest
Still I couldn't help feeling totally blessed!
We hoped - no we prayed we would get all we need
And come home, of course, knowing we'd succeed.
With everything gross and muddy outside,
I wondered what to do with my hair, or just hide...
I hugged my hubby and he pulled me in tight...
Let's make today special... and let's do it right...
He nodded and smiled, then said, "Go Away!
I have presents to wrap before the end of the day!"

So this is  the second time I'm writing this entry, as there was a glitch and I lost everything... including the original poem... so I had to make up a new one just now. *sigh* These holidays!

I have really nothing to complain about though... These last two weeks have been my happiest in what feels like an eternity (really only a few months).

I started an amazing new job that I am so excited and so happy about.

Even though it feels a little intimidating at first... I'm beginning to realize that no matter what everyone here has my back. It's been a long time since I felt that way.

I love my school, my coworkers, my administration, and my students. I'm so freaking happy.

This is going to be one of the best ways to start my new year and what an amazing way to start it -- at a job I am so happy to be a part of!

That's not all the good news either! Two days ago we got our sweet little Hyundai Tucson back looking gorgeous and just like new! $500 worth spending on our little Sweet Mobile.

Gorgeous gifts from our friends, Frank + Susan

Yesterday was a half day and we spent it with some awesome friends.

We came home to an awesome and beautiful gift from our wonderful friends Diane and Co at Dee Kay Events, the incredible wedding planners. We're so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives.

Then Mom invited Shawn and I over to bake some cookies-- but not just ANY cookies! 3D cookies! They're awesome and so fun!

Today... after I finally shower... we're going to go back to our amazing traditions.

Shawn and I will be spending time with our family, going to mass and to one of our favorite restaurants... It's one of my favorite traditions that we do together.

I better run and shower before Shawn gets even more grumpy that I haven't yet....

We gotta go wrap all those presents just right!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!

Love,
Mrs Caple

121 Days Since 'I Do'

Annual Christmas Santa photo 2015!

Annual Christmas Santa photo 2015!

It is Tuesday, December 15, 2015... Today, Shawn and I are married four months.

There have been a lot of beautiful updates in our lives that we are super excited to share!

Since we've come home from our honeymoon in November, we are now in December! In fact, we are one Friday away from our very first Christmas as Mr. + Mrs. Caple!

Then I chopped off most of my hair and gave myself a new style. It had been a rough week and I needed something new and exciting! This was the Friday before our amazing Wedding Viewing party!

On November 22nd we had the most amazing Wedding Photography Viewing party with the help of our incredible photographer and friend, Brandi of Alexis June Weddings! She printed out GORGEOUS photos and created a sweet photo film of our wedding photos before going through the incredible images.

Setting the scene!

Having such wonderful friends and family join us that day really showed us the people who loved us and were willing to be there for us on such a special day and relive our day with us, for some for the first time. It was epic.

Brandi's photos were absolutely incredible and I am so glad that she was by my side that day. There is no one else I would rather have had there beside us. Brandi is the best.

Only a few days later we had Thanksgiving, and our incredible friends and cinematographers, Glen + Violet of Cord 3 Films made our own wedding film LIVE for us to share with everyone!

I asked to wait, as I really wanted to watch it with my family for the first time... it was truly a remarkable and blessed experience.

The film... oh my gosh... the film is... there are no words to describe its beautiful perfection. I can only share with you its epic nature and let you see for yourself. Truly a gift and a blessing having such talented and amazing people like Glen + Violet beside us, capturing the most amazing day of our lives.

Now we are in December finishing and crafting our own films for our own amazing couples for Sweet Start and while challenging... each one of these films brings us back to those magical days sharing those moments with them... and then we think back on to our own day... and life is just happy and perfect and amazing.

Sadly not everything in this post is good news.

Two Tuesdays ago, December 1st, the very same day I bought my new little 2015 Hyundai Tucson... a 19 year old girl went through a stop sign and hit the Tucson... our little Sweet Mobile.

No one was hurt, but the Tucson won't be patched up until maybe an estimated Christmas Eve date.

The girl also had no insurance for property and only for any bodily harm done to herself and herself alone.

Her insurance was so new, in fact, that her insurance was not even approved yet and did not go through until a week after the accident.

The police dropped me off at work and I worked the rest of the day until my amazing husband picked me up and brought me home.

This past Friday I said goodbye to Paterson (as I still do not have a car to go there) and I start my new job this week.

Saturday my family took Shawn and I out into the city to enjoy some holiday festivities! It was an amazing way to really get into the Holiday spirit and spend time together.

Sunday I went out with my girls that did my bridal shower and bachelorette party and had the most amazing brunch and fun time at the mall. I am so blessed to have such beautiful girls in my life!

And now I am mentally preparing for my first day at my new job only a 20 minute drive from where I am sitting right now...

I've never been happier or more excited about a new job in my life. I cannot wait to go in and meet everyone!

Anyway, Christmas is practically here! I have a few more gifts to wrap, and actually a few more gifts to buy... I'm still stuck on what I should get my husband for Christmas... his birthday gift to Hawai'i is going to be really tough to top!

If I'm not back by Christmas: Merry Christmas! I'm off to go get a manicure with my momma!

Love,
Mrs. Caple

90 Days Since 'I Do'

Sometimes you just need to reflect and remember... look back.

It has been 90 Days since we said 'I Do'... 3 months tomorrow.

There have been a lot of new experiences, moving in together, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking... pretty much everything a college student is supposed to learn on their own.

I did not move out from my childhood home with my family until I moved in with my new husband and started a new family.

Married life is beautiful, cozy, sweet... but it can be challenging, too. When you live together there are not a lot of places to go... especially when you need to be alone. That's okay, you learn, you adapt... you forgive much sooner.

Balancing a life and work, however, has been more challenging. Get up at 5:30 am, leave by 6:20 (at the latest)...  After driving an hour and ten minutes in traffic, 140 miles every single day, dealing with children and people that forget you're a person, and coming home to quiet is nice...

Until you remember everything else you have to do: Clean up, Mail, pick up packages, cook dinner, try to mentally turn off from work... by then the hubby gets home, eats dinner, maybe watches an episode on netflix and gets to editing our other job, Sweet Start.

The next day start over...

Sound a little mundane...

Which is why, for my husband's birthday, on a whim, I booked tickets for Hawai'i to reconnect and take a break from everything. Still we edited weddings, but this time it was a little more relaxed... You know, take a sunrise walk, eat breakfast, edit a little, go to the beach, edit a little more, watch the sunset... dinner... just... yeah.

On our way back to Hawai'i

On our way back to Hawai'i

It was amazing. It was a mini-honeymoon since ours was so short, (3 days) and still stressful...

Landing Safely

It was really nice to get away at a time when we didn't have anymore wedding stress, thank you cards, moving in, settling in, learning everything from scratch. Definitely worth the 10 hour flight back to Hawai'i.

I still want to make our time at home special... somehow I need to bring a little Hawai'i in to our home and keep that relaxed romance strong... instead of stressing over getting all these weddings out and done.

Landed back home in New Jersey

You know what's nice about editing these weddings though? You get to relive that day... reflect on our couple's love for each other... watch their story come to life... gives you butterflies all over again.

Anyway, I think adventures are definitely a must for us and our relationship. There's nothing like going back to where you've been married... or going somewhere completely new and experiencing an exciting adventure that neither of you have ever encountered before.

I'm already planning our next one... I just need to get that passport updated!

Love,
Mrs. Caple

2 Days After 'I Do'

A wedding of magical proportions.

Truly, a fairytale.

There is nothing in this world that could ever compare to our Wedding Day...

And it is everyday after that I look forward to.

I am not going write a lot about the incredible day... instead I will tell the story with a little teaser... and pictures...
